Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy may be helpful if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Therapy can provide a supportive space to process what you are experiencing, better understand yourself, and build healthier tools for navigating life.

What happens during the first session?

Your first session is a time for you and your therapist to get to know each other. You may talk about what brought you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what goals you may have for counseling. You do not have to share everything all at once. Therapy moves at your pace, and your therapist will help create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Hopeful Horizons Counseling currently accepts several insurance plans. We currently accept Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, Aetna, Care Credit, and Tricare.

Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific plan, so we recommend contacting the office directly with any questions about benefits, eligibility, copays, or self-pay options before scheduling your first appointment.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes, Hopeful Horizons Counseling offers virtual therapy options for clients who prefer the convenience of meeting from home or who may not be able to attend in person. Virtual counseling can be a supportive option for individual therapy, anxiety therapy, and other counseling services depending on your needs and location.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and the type of support you are seeking. Some clients attend therapy for a short season while working through a specific concern, while others choose ongoing support for deeper healing, personal growth, or continued emotional wellness. Your therapist can help you discuss what may be most helpful for you.

What ages do you work with?

Hopeful Horizons Counseling works with a variety of clients depending on therapist availability, specialties, and the type of support needed. Please contact the office directly to ask about age ranges, services for children, teens, adults, or families, and which therapist may be the best fit.
